Most free shooters pick one thing and try to do it well. Delta Force, from Team Jade, ships three separate experiences behind the same launcher, and all of them are free on Steam.
Warfare: Big Maps, Vehicles, Chaos
Warfare is the large-scale PvP side of the game. Two big teams fight over objectives on wide maps with tanks, helicopters and plenty of room for squads to flank. If you miss the feeling of classic combined-arms shooters, this is the mode that will hook you. The Season Morphosis update added Aftershock, an urban map where buildings can be brought down and seismic events reshape the fight, plus a Flashpoint mode where the whole lobby fights over a single shifting objective.
Operations: The Extraction Mode
Operations is a PvPvE extraction shooter. You go in with a loadout, fight AI enemies and other squads for loot, and only keep what you carry out. It’s slower and tenser than Warfare, and gear choices matter a lot more. Recent seasons expanded the Space City map and added swimming, which opens underwater routes for sneaking in or getting out quietly.
Black Hawk Down: The Co-op Campaign
The third piece is a co-op campaign inspired by Black Hawk Down. It’s a scripted, story-driven experience you play with friends rather than a competitive mode, and it’s a nice break when you want action without worrying about ranked results or losing gear.
The Bottom Line
Delta Force has grown into one of the biggest free FPS games of 2026, with a player base reported above 40 million across PC, consoles and mobile. Between Warfare, Operations and the co-op campaign, there’s a mode for almost every kind of shooter fan, and none of them cost anything to try.
