Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen System Requirements: Can Your PC Run It?

Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen PC system requirements, from minimum to recommended specs, plus ray tracing needs, price and the October 9 release.

Capcom is releasing the Dark Arisen expansion for Dragon’s Dogma 2 on October 9, 2026 (00:00 UTC, so Thursday evening in the US and late Thursday night to early Friday in Morocco). It adds a snowy new region and a pile of endgame content, and it asks for the same PC hardware as the base game. If you already ran Dragon’s Dogma 2 fine, you are covered. If you skipped it because of the launch performance stories, here is what the game wants.

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8 GB VRAM
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband internet connection
  • Storage: SSD recommended

Recommended Requirements

  • OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband internet connection
  • Storage: SSD recommended

What to Expect at Each Tier

Capcom rates the minimum spec for 1080p with an upscaler at 45 to 60 fps, using the Prioritize Performance graphics setting. The recommended spec targets 1080p with an upscaler at a steady 60 fps on the same setting. The game’s own notes warn that frame rate can drop when the processing load is high, and that matters here: the big towns and busy fights with a full party of pawns lean hard on the CPU, not just the graphics card. A CPU near the minimum will feel it more than the GPU does.

Ray tracing is optional and needs an RTX 2080 Ti or Radeon RX 6800 at the very least. Most people on mid-range cards will get a better experience leaving it off and spending the headroom on a higher resolution or smoother frames. Capcom also recommends an SSD, and with a large open world that streams in as you travel, a hard drive will mean more pop-in and longer loads.

Release Date, Platforms and Price

Dark Arisen launches October 9, 2026 on PC through Steam, as well as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. The expansion alone costs $29.99 and requires the base game. A bundle with Dragon’s Dogma 2 plus the expansion is $49.99, and the base game by itself is $39.99 at the moment. The expansion brings the Norgan region, the Relic Expedition loop, 12 Lost Rites dungeons across the existing map and new character creator options.

One honest caveat: the 16 GB RAM and 8 GB VRAM figures on the minimum list are not generous, and 8 GB cards at the edge of the spec can run into texture trouble in dense areas. If you are on an older laptop or a 6 GB card, check how the base game runs for you before paying for the expansion, since the DLC will not run any lighter.
