Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered System Requirements: Can Your PC Run It?

Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered PC requirements: minimum and recommended specs, what to expect at each tier, price and release details.

Koei Tecmo is bringing the PS2-era hack-and-slash classic back to Steam as Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered, a rebuild of the original and its Xtreme Legends expansion. Steam lists the launch for September 30, 2026, and some release calendars put it on October 1, so the exact hour depends on your time zone. Here is what your PC needs before you buy.

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 11, 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB), AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT (6 GB) or Intel Arc A380 (6 GB)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 60 GB of free space
  • Network: Broadband internet connection

Koei Tecmo says this tier targets 30 fps at 1920×1080 with graphics on Low and upscaling turned on.

Recommended Requirements

  • OS: Windows 11, 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (8 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (12 GB)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 60 GB of free space

This tier is listed for 60 fps at 1080p on High, again with upscaling enabled. The publisher also warns that ultrawide or higher-resolution monitors may need more VRAM.

What to Expect at Each Tier

The minimum list is not as gentle as you might expect from a game that started on PlayStation 2. The CPU and RAM lines are the ones to check: 16 GB of memory is required even at the bottom, and Windows 11 is the only supported OS listed. If you are still on Windows 10, read that line twice before paying.

A GTX 1060 gets you a playable 30 fps with compromises, which matters in a series built on crowds of soldiers on screen at once. For smooth 60 fps, the RTX 3060 class card is the realistic target. If you play on a 1440p or ultrawide display, plan on more VRAM than the listed cards offer, or lean on upscaling. There is no public benchmark data yet, so treat these figures as the publisher’s estimates until players report real results after launch.

Release Date, Platforms and Price

The remaster is developed and published by Koei Tecmo. It launches on PC through Steam, and on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. The Steam price is $39.99 in the US. That is a fair amount for a 2001 game, but you get the original campaign plus Xtreme Legends content in one package, and the graphics are rebuilt rather than upscaled. If you only want a nostalgia trip, waiting for a first sale is a reasonable call.

One more practical point: the 60 GB install is large, so clear space ahead of time and put it on an SSD if you can.
