Enshrouded leaves early access on October 15, 2026, and the 1.0 build asks for a surprisingly modest PC for a voxel survival game with this much going on in its world. Here are the Enshrouded 1.0 system requirements from the Steam page, and what those numbers mean in practice.
Minimum Enshrouded 1.0 System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
- CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X (4 cores)
- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1060 (6 GB VRAM), AMD RX 580 (6 GB VRAM) or Intel Arc A380
- Storage: 60 GB available space
- Network: broadband connection
Recommended Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (6 to 8 cores)
- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super, AMD RX 6700 XT (both 6 GB VRAM) or Intel Arc A770
- Storage: 60 GB available space, SSD recommended
- Network: broadband connection
These figures come from the current Steam listing. Keen Games has said the 1.0 requirements could shift at launch, so check the store page again on release day.
What to Expect at Each Tier
On the minimum spec, think 1080p with lower settings and a frame rate that is playable but not smooth. The GTX 1060 and RX 580 are old cards now, and Enshrouded’s long view distances and heavy lighting will push them. Base building is where it hurts most, since a large, detailed base with many light sources costs more than walking through an empty valley.
The recommended tier is a much better target. An RTX 2070 Super or RX 6700 XT should hold high settings at 1080p and get close at 1440p. Install the game on an SSD. Loading and world streaming on a hard drive is the most common complaint for games of this type, and 60 GB is a lot to put on a slow disk.
RAM is the quiet requirement here. Both tiers list 16 GB, so with a browser and Discord open on an 8 GB machine you will run into trouble regardless of your GPU. Also keep in mind that multiplayer sessions with up to 16 players on PC add CPU load, especially for the host.
Release Date, Platforms and Price
Enshrouded 1.0 launches on Steam and PS5 on October 15, 2026, with Xbox Series X/S following in spring 2027. The PC price is listed at $39.99, and the developer raised it ahead of 1.0. Anyone who already owns the early access version gets the update in place at no extra cost.
One honest caveat: if your PC sits near the minimum line, wait for the first player reports and benchmarks after launch before buying. Steam’s refund window is there for exactly this kind of situation.
