MXGP 26 System Requirements: Can Your PC Run It?

MXGP 26 launches October 1, 2026 on PC. See the minimum and recommended specs, what a GTX 1080 or RTX 3070 gets you, plus price and editions.

MXGP 26 is the new official motocross game from Artefacts Studio and Nacon, and it lands on PC on October 1, 2026. It runs on Unreal Engine 5, so the specs are higher than the older MXGP entries, though not extreme. Here is what your PC needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 3.6 GHz
  • RAM: 12 GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 with 8 GB VRAM
  • DirectX: 12
  • Storage: 26 GB, SSD recommended

Recommended Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, 8 cores
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 with 8 GB VRAM, or AMD Radeon RX 6700 with 10 GB VRAM
  • DirectX: 12
  • Storage: 26 GB, SSD recommended

What to Expect at Each Tier

The minimum spec is built around a GTX 1080. That card is a few generations old now, so expect low to medium settings and a lower resolution to keep frame rates steady. Motocross games are hard to play at a stuttering frame rate, since you are reading ruts and landings in fractions of a second, so treat the minimum as “playable” and not comfortable.

The recommended tier, a Ryzen 7 5800X with an RTX 3070 or RX 6700, is the target for high settings at 1080p. If you play at 1440p, you will probably want something stronger than a 3070. Nacon has not published resolution or frame rate targets, so those numbers are our reading of the spec sheet and not an official promise.

Two practical points. The game uses dynamic track deformation, which means the ground changes as riders cut lines through it, and that costs CPU time as well as GPU time. If you are between the two tiers, a weak processor is the more likely bottleneck. And 26 GB is a modest install size, but put it on an SSD anyway because Nacon recommends it.

Release Date, Platforms and Price

MXGP 26 launches on October 1, 2026 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Fox Holeshot Edition gets early access from September 28. Reported PC prices are $49.99 for the Standard Edition and $59.99 for the Fox Holeshot Edition, which adds Fox cosmetics and MXGP-TV access. Check the Steam page for the final price in your region, and note that Xbox online play needs a separate Game Pass subscription.

If your PC is close to the minimum, wait for early player reports on Steam before buying, since Unreal Engine 5 games sometimes need a patch or two to run well.
