Rayman Legends Retold launches today, October 1, 2026, on PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. It is a 3D remake of the 2013 platformer, built on Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine, so it asks for more than the original ever did. The good news: the entry bar is low.
Minimum Requirements (1080p, 60 FPS, Low)
- OS: Windows 10, 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100
- RAM: 8 GB, dual-channel
- GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1660 (6 GB), AMD RX 5500 XT (4 GB) or Intel Arc A580 (8 GB)
- DirectX: 12
- Storage: 33 GB on an SSD
Recommended Requirements (1080p, 60 FPS, High)
- CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- RAM: 16 GB, dual-channel
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3070, AMD RX 5700 or Intel Arc A750
- Storage: 33 GB on an SSD
Ubisoft also lists a 1440p/60 tier (an RTX 3070, RX 6750 XT or Arc B580 class card) and a 4K/60 Ultra tier that calls for an RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XTX.
What to Expect at Each Tier
Every one of those targets assumes upscaling set to Quality mode, so the game is not meant to run at native resolution on weaker hardware. On a GTX 1660 you should plan on low settings, 1080p and 60 FPS with the upscaler doing part of the work. A mid-range card from the RTX 3070 era moves you to high settings and, for most people, 1440p. Only the 4K Ultra tier needs a current high-end GPU.
Two practical points. The SSD requirement is explicit, so a hard drive install is likely to cause stutter or long loads. And 8 GB of RAM is a floor, not a comfort zone: if you also keep a browser and Discord open, 16 GB is the safer bet.
Release Date, Platforms and Price
The game is out October 1, 2026 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2, and it also supports GeForce Now. Solo play and up to 4-player couch co-op are supported. Steam listed the standard edition at $39.99 at the time of writing, though prices can differ by store and region.
Specs are taken from Ubisoft’s published requirements. Check the store page before buying, since requirements sometimes change after launch patches.
