Control Resonant System Requirements: Can Your PC Run It?

Control Resonant releases September 24, 2026. Here are the full minimum and recommended PC system requirements from Remedy, plus what to expect at each spec tier.

Control Resonant launches September 24, 2026, and Remedy has published the full PC spec list. The good news: a solid mid-range GPU from 2020 or 2021 gets you to 1440p at 60fps. The catch: you need at least 100 GB of SSD space free before the download even starts, with some reporting suggesting the final install size can reach closer to 120 GB once shader cache is accounted for.

Minimum Requirements

These specs target 1080p at 30 fps on the Low preset with Quality upscaling turned on. You will not hit 1080p/30 without upscaling at this tier.

  • OS: Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A580 (6 GB VRAM)
  • Storage: 100 GB SSD (NVMe recommended)

Recommended Requirements

Recommended targets 1440p at 60 fps on the Performance preset. This is the configuration most people building or upgrading a gaming PC in 2024 or 2025 should fall into.

  • OS: Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, or Intel Arc B580 (8 GB VRAM)
  • Storage: 100 GB SSD

High-End and Path Tracing

Remedy has published a full five-tier spec sheet. If you’re targeting 4K at 60fps without upscaling, the Enthusiast spec lists an RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800 XT with 10 GB VRAM. Full path tracing requires an RTX 5080, putting that mode firmly in the “top-of-the-line current hardware” bracket. For the vast majority of players, the Performance or Recommended tiers will cover everything they actually notice in gameplay.

What to Expect at Each Tier

On the minimum specs

A GTX 1070 will run the game, but 1080p/30fps is only reachable with Quality upscaling active. If your card falls below a GTX 1070 or RX 5600 XT, expect unplayable performance even with all settings on Low. The engine is GPU-heavy, so an older CPU like the i5-8500 is less of a bottleneck here than you might think.

On the recommended specs

An RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT hits the real sweet spot. You get 1440p/60fps on Performance preset, which looks clean with DLSS 4.5 or FSR 4.1 handling the scaling. Frame generation is available on cards that support it, which helps smooth out any dips during intense scenes. If you’re on a 1080p monitor, Recommended specs will comfortably run the game at High settings with headroom to spare.

On the storage requirement

100 GB on SSD is mandatory. Remedy built the game around fast storage for streaming, and an HDD will not work. Some sources put the actual install size at up to 120 GB once shader precompilation and updates are included, so clearing 125 GB of SSD space before download day is the safer move.

PC Feature Highlights

Control Resonant ships with DLSS 4.5 (NVIDIA) and FSR 4.1 (AMD), including frame generation on supported cards. The PC version also includes uncapped frame rates, HDR, ultrawide monitor support (21:9 and wider), and full ray tracing across multiple quality tiers. Path tracing is the top-end option for cards that can handle it.

Release Date, Platforms and Price

Control Resonant releases on September 24, 2026 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It is also available day one on GeForce NOW for cloud gaming. Standard edition price is $59.99. A Mac version via Steam and the App Store is planned for later in 2026.
