The Jackbox Party Pack 12 is a five-game party collection from Jackbox Games, and the good news for anyone with an older laptop is that the Jackbox Party Pack 12 system requirements are very low. Everyone else plays on a phone, so the PC only has to run one screen.

What to Expect at Each Tier
These are 2D party games built around text, drawing and photos, so there is no frame-rate race to win. On the minimum spec you can expect it to launch and play, though menus and photo effects in Hyperface may load a little slower on a 4 GB machine, especially if a browser and Discord are open alongside it. The recommended tier mostly buys you headroom: 8 GB of RAM lets you stream, screen-share or keep a video call going while the game runs.
The requirement that trips people up is the network, not the hardware. Players join from phones or any web browser, so your PC and their devices need a stable connection. A weak Wi-Fi signal causes more problems here than a weak GPU. If you plan to play with friends over a video call, the host also needs enough upload bandwidth to share the screen.
What’s in the Pack
- We Forgot a Card: design greeting cards for odd occasions
- MegaPals: guess how well you know your friends
- Debate and Switch: argue a side, then get switched mid-debate
- Idol Factions: two teams race to sort answers into categories
- Hyperface: warp photos to answer strange prompts
Release Date, Platforms and Price
Steam lists the release as October 14, 2026, while some outlets report October 15, so check the store page on launch day. It also comes to consoles and iPad. No price was posted on Steam when this was written. Only one person needs to own the game for the whole group to play, which keeps the real cost per head low, but the trade-off is that it is a party game: it shines with three or more people and gets thin when played alone or with only one friend.
