Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse arrives on Steam on October 15, 2026, and the spec sheet is friendlier than most new 2D releases suggest. Konami’s Metroidvania, built by Evil Empire and Motion Twin, asks for 16GB of RAM but only a GTX 1650 at the bottom end. Here are the full Castlevania Belmont’s Curse system requirements and what to expect on your hardware.
Minimum Castlevania Belmont’s Curse System Requirements
- OS: Windows 11
- CPU: Intel Core i5-8400
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
- RAM: 16 GB
- Storage: 10 GB available space
- DirectX: Version 11
Recommended Requirements
- OS: Windows 11
- CPU: Intel Core i5-10400
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
- RAM: 16 GB
- Storage: 10 GB available space
- DirectX: Version 11
Two things stand out. Windows 11 is listed for both tiers, so anyone still on Windows 10 should check before buying. And the RAM figure does not change between tiers, which means 8GB machines are out regardless of GPU.

What to Expect at Each Tier
On the minimum spec, a GTX 1650 with an i5-8400 should handle a 2D action game at 1080p, though expect to turn effects down in busy boss fights. These are publisher figures, and we have not tested the final build, so treat them as a floor rather than a promise of a locked 60 FPS.

The RTX 3060 recommendation is high for a side-scroller. That usually points to heavy lighting and particle work in a burning, stylized Paris rather than raw scene complexity. If you have a 3060 or better, you should be able to run at higher settings and a high refresh rate without much fuss. The 10GB install is small, but leave extra room for patches.

Release Date, Platforms and Price
Belmont’s Curse launches October 15, 2026 on PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), PS5 and Xbox Series, with a Switch version planned for later in 2026. The Standard Edition costs $29.99 and the Midnight Edition is $39.99, adding a digital sound and art gallery plus some in-game bonuses. You play Rose Belmont fighting through a burning Paris with whip combat, seven weapon categories and boss-based Arcana cards. A demo is also listed on Steam, which is a sensible way to test performance on your own PC before paying.
