Valor Mortis is a first-person Soulslike from developer One More Level, launching October 13, 2026 on PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X/S for $39.99. It is also on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Before you buy, here are the Valor Mortis system requirements, because the minimum spec is higher than most Soulslikes ask for.

- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super
- Storage: 50 GB, SSD mandatory
- API: DirectX 12
Recommended Requirements
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 or Intel Core i7-13700
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE or Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070
- Storage: 50 GB on an SSD
- OS and RAM: not listed separately in the published sheet, so plan on Windows 11 and at least 16 GB
What to Expect at Each Tier
At the minimum spec, a Ryzen 7 3700X with an RTX 2070 Super, you should get a playable but modest experience. The developer has not published target frame rates, so treat this as the floor and expect to lower settings and lean on upscaling. In a game where a dropped frame can cost you a fight, that matters more than it would in a slower title.

The recommended tier, an RTX 4070 or RX 7900 GRE with a Ryzen 7 7700, is the one to aim for if you want high settings at a stable frame rate. That is a fairly strong mid-range to upper-mid-range machine, which is the main catch: older GPUs such as a GTX 1660 or RX 580 are well below the line.

Two practical notes. First, the SSD requirement is not a suggestion, so a hard drive install is out. Second, Windows 10 is not on the list, which will matter to anyone who has not upgraded. These numbers come from the published requirements and could change with a day-one patch, so check the Steam page at launch.

Release Date, Platforms and Price
Valor Mortis launches October 13, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It is single-player only and costs $39.99 / EUR 39.99 for the standard edition. If your PC sits near the minimum line, the console versions or Game Pass are a safer way in, and waiting for early performance reports from players is a reasonable call before you spend money.
